Does anyone know how to use Paint Sho Pro 8.1 or IrFan View? I have posted at least a thousand photos or more but never a retouch. I have access to so many programs but no one will take the time to teach me how to use them.
At the moment these are the two programs I have to use. All I want to do is retouch lips and eyes. Do retouchers here actually do it free hand using their mouse? A friend from a few years back had a clone tool and he would clone the lips and then change the color. I asked him to show me how to use it but he never did. All I am asking for is someone to teach me in a way that it is in English and not im computer geek talk because I do not understand computer language.
Will someone, please, please help me. I am so very frustrated like you wouldn't believe. I do not have photoshop so links to photoshop and help tutorials will not help either.
I know it's not brain surgery and I pick things up pretty quick but I just do not have the patients to teach myself because I simply cannot make it work at all. Please help me someone.
I have many fetishes and this forum is merely one of the many.

Here's a few tips for those who like to scan photos from magazines and books.

1. When doing a scan from a magazine or book, take a piece of black constuction paper and place it behind the photo you are scanning. This will stop bleed-through and improve picture quality!

2. Some programs offer a tool called "Instant Fix". Most of the Adobe photoshop programs do. So besides offering the option of changing brightness and contrast manually this program can do it for you. The final RT will only be as good as the original pic you start with.

Is it downloadable? I like it, but I'd prefer to view it offline...

I recently purchased a new monitor. I looked at some of my old retouches and they don't look very good to me anymore. My colors were way to bright . It looked good to me on my old screen but i see now that that wasn't the case. Sorry about that.
